Klaksvíkar Róðrarfelag
Kerens is actually owned by Mevagissey Gig Club, but have a partnership with the Faroese Rowing Association, whereby the Faroese are allowed to use the Kerens for the Championships. The gig club is actually called Klaksvíkar Róðrarfelag, but we just use Faroes. Many crews race in the Faroe Islands in order to win and be allowed to travel to the Islands in May. Sponsor, Amerada Hess (petrol firm), pay for the winning crew to come to Scilly. WPGC 2005: Faroes sponsors did not put up the funding to travel to Scilly.
